Our Volunteers start as Parent Champions who inform families about our service and other local organisations who may also be able to support families who have children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and in particular those having difficulties around their child’s education.

We have linked up with Coram Family Childcare to deliver the Parent Champions Scheme. Our Volunteers have been in the Somer Valley area since January. We have a plan of local events and groups to attend.
We are hoping to recruit more volunteers so that we can also create a plan for the Chew Valley area from September and to eventually have SPS Parent Champions across all areas of Bath and North East Somerset.
For volunteers who would like to further their learning and get involved with more direct support to families, they can access more in-depth training to become SPS Volunteer Supporters.

If you would like more information about volunteering with us please visit our volunteer's page or contact us using our get in touch page.
